Largo, Florida, USA (March 1, 2019) – Ocean Insight, the applied spectral knowledge company, has introduced a convenient, manageable cuvette holder for highly accurate, repeatable absorbance and fluorescence measurements. The Square One cuvette holder has three collimating lenses with fiber optic connectors, is designed with an integrated cover to reduce ambient light, and provides a snug, reliable fit for cuvettes and filters to ensure best results.
Square One accommodates 1 cm pathlength plastic or quartz cuvettes. Its built-in mirror optimizes signal reflection for fluorescence, while two filter slots accept both 12.5 mm and 25 mm diameter optical filters. With filters, users can manage fluorescence excitation and emission wavelengths or remove unneeded wavelengths to reduce stray light.
At just 111 mm x 90 mm x 74 mm (4.4 in. x 3.5 in. x 3.0 in), Square One takes up very little bench space. It has a black, hard-anodized aluminum interior and base plate, with silver
Cerakote® body, for great durability. Square One integrates seamlessly with Ocean Insight spectrometers, light sources and optical fibers for flexibility in cuvette-based measurements.
