靈菌紅素是由若干種細(xì)菌特別是粘質(zhì)沙雷菌產(chǎn)生的一種紅色吡咯色素。靈菌紅素有廣譜的生物學(xué)活性，抗真菌、腫瘤細(xì)胞系和瘧疾。2007年發(fā)現(xiàn)它是一種免疫抑制劑。近來靈菌紅素的作用方式受到大量的關(guān)注，作為一種誘導(dǎo)劑通過活化半胱天冬酶誘導(dǎo)人原發(fā)性癌細(xì)胞的凋亡，并通過轉(zhuǎn)化β生長因子受體途徑誘導(dǎo)p21WAF1/CIP1表達(dá)，通過作用3β糖原合成酶激酶活化N-乙酰-β-葡萄糖苷酶。
